I love this lady's vids. I don't keep up with all of them, but this one was fresh loaded yesterday and I caught it.
Definitely a no fail concept. Yum.

Wanna hear something totally weird?

I got the recipe several years ago from a reader comment in a recipe article on a blog called Blind Pig and the Acorn that I look at sometimes. I jotted it down then and have just played with it to meet my tastes and what's in the frig. I haven't even been able to find the place the recipe was at again.

The video you posted, I thought that looks like the Blind Pig and the Acorn lady!

Looked it up and it is. Not sure how I missed she had a YouTube channel too. I just looked at her YouTube channel... Now that looks like my kind of binge watching!


Today, I'm watching endless videos on fruit platters so I can up my fruit platter game. Don't think I'm going to be making swans out of apples any time soon, but a palm tree out of a watermelon rind... that one may get an attempt or three.

Tonight it's shrimp scampi and I'm not cooking.

My rule of thumb is any meal someone else cooks... is a good meal. Enjoy!

Tonight, (after We had a Nice TunaFish Pasta Salad), the Most Important part was a Great Big Ol Slice of Dolly Partons' Banana Cake, Kicked Up a Buncha "Bams!" And a Glass Of Cold, Cold Milk.

We're having chicken & dumplings by Hol, as thanks for a favor we did for her. She's off to work for a couple weeks and we're keeping track of grand-pup Knuckles. He's bonded with Gobs and I've lost my snuggle spot.

I made oyster stew from oysters I froze in stew size packages back in April. Water is still too warm to harvest local oysters right now.
Also, had the last of the leftover vegetable casserole from the other day and a handful of muscadines for dessert.

Rounds of Cotto Salami, with a Dollop of Fried Dill Pickle/Sour Cream Ranch Dip, Rolled up. Three of those. A nice, Cold Heffeweisen.

Strawberry and Mango Mochis fer goodies.

Gonna be Two Fingers of Sassenach Scotch for the Dragons.

A sirloin tip roast added to the smoker until it's medium.


Then into the slow cooker with a some peperoncini and fire roasted red peppers, Italian seasoning, and a can of Guinness. Kinda a cross between Italian beef and a pub roast. Giddy for supper.

Tonight, it was Chicken Quesadillas.

Followed by Peach Cobbler, with Blackberry Sauce.

Tonight was simple:

Mater soup and grilled cheese sammich

'chops out on the grill with homemade mashed potatoes and gravy.

Oh yeah.

Dungeness crab, fresh fruit, glazed brussel sprouts and locally made ic cream!!
