See? There is a very distinct lack of vision here, Could I find a dozen like minded individuals who could buy a share for $10K?
I betcha I could. But I am going to pass on in the near future and my son would inherit my share.
Screw that.
Yep. That's what's stopping me.
I could mortgage the farm and buy it, but it won't be that long before I'm gone and then what would happen to poor ol' Bertha?

Well, as I am oft reminded, one of your progeny might actually WANT ole Bertha. And pro-tip, should someone express that interest, they should promptly be enlisted to learn the proper maintenance & repair of said beastie. No excuses. :D
Yes, well.
I was derelict in my duty apparently as there are no progeny of my line. (probably good for civilization)
The step kids produced only one each and no males.
Now we're down to the grand kids spouses. One of which is professional photographer with no inclination to pickup a firearm never mind a tank. The other is proficient in firearms and shooting but golf is more his game and he has zero mechanical ability.
The GGBs are 2 girls and one boy so doubtful that'll pan out.
Tho the boy does resemble a tank slightly at this age.

And Hol is helping Gobs sort out the magical electrical issues on the backhoe - as well as her vehicles and pretty much everything else. Way before we had his level of expertise here, she broke the blade spindle of the zero turn on a rock break. Sourced the part, had it in, and repaired it herself within the week.

This past week, she's been sorting out a pump & heater for her stock tank "pool".
