I am beginning to see a rig in this size as a good option.

I love the small off road tear drops for extreme bug out.
But they are crazy expensive and Spartan in amenities.

Being north of 60 and having a wife, the bath shower option is becoming more appealing as time ticks by.

I can still sleep under a Basha, But not sure I want to do it full time.

I'm beginning to see the Colorado with a cap on the back, an Overland basket on the cab roof and a Thule pod on the cap.

The Winne Hike offers easy solutions for mounting more Thule storage on top of the camper.

Trying to strike a balance between size, comfort, price and outright living comfort.

LV - just because I have a love of design/engineering I've been looking at LOTS of DIY builds on the 'tube. The most impressive one lately has been the "Manbulance". Not everyone wants to build one... so the best design/sustainability for FT living I've seen come from ARV - they've recently expanded from vans to box truck chassis, because of the availability issues. Clean interiors, all the systems well thought out & accessible, and towing capacity.

Most of the std RV layouts just aren't doing it for me. They seem rather clunky, stuck in a 70s or 80s idea of what "home" should provide & feel like. And generally just way too much "stuff" in them.
