We never won the cold war. Germany, economically, needed to reunite or they wouldn't have. Russia learned to play the game more subtly.

Now they sense (and it would take all the sensitivity of a dandelion to notice) that we have a weak president and a horrible group of leaders and advisors surrounding him. They probably see this as THE time to act, if they let us, we'll destroy ourselves and they can just pick up the prizes afterwards.

Russia is smart. China is desperate and hungry. Both see the U.S. as rolled over showing its belly and its throat.

- In 2014 the old president of Ukraine is ousted. A new president is installed. The vacuum and chaos that ensued causes the opportunity for deep corruption.
- Obama knows this and gets involved giving this new president lots of money. ( billions) He directs Biden to oversee the process to "ensure" that no corruption occurs. lol
- At the same time Hunter starts a new “investment firm” in the Ukraine. Hunter partners with John Kerry’s son Devon Archer. They work with a Ukraine company called Burisma. Burisma is run by a corrupt oligarch who also happens to own his own bank. A 1.8 B dollars that Obama gave Ukraine is put in this guy’s bank and they "lost" it. They also "lost" another 1.2 B in 2016.
- The Ukrainian equivalent of the AG said that he felt there was lots of US corruption in the Ukraine including election meddling by the democrats'.
- The Obama admin muscled the direction of the AGs investigation.
- The people of Ukraine get fed up and elect some unknown underdog as prez.
_ Trump becomes prez here and with the new Ukraine prez, a real investigation ensues.

- The Clinton Foundation made 100s of millions selling 20% of Uranium 1 to Russia while Hillary was S of State, so we know who is really in bed with the russians.
- The russians are commies. The democrates are commies.
- Who stands to benefit if Russia topples Ukraine and ousts the current prez and AG ??

Biden ain't gonna do shit about it.

I find the whole situation fascinating, for lack of a better word. Everything Russia does seems like a power grab en route to restoring it to Soviet-era influence on the world stage. Ukraine wanting to be part of NATO is therefore a PR problem for Putin & Co. at home, because a strong Russia ought to show no fear or even hesitation to take what it wants whenever the mood strikes. That's a power that Russia's European and Asian neighbors respect. If Ukraine joins NATO, Russia loses face.

I personally don't much care what happens to Ukraine specifically, but I definitely see the ramifications if Russia invades, NATO gets involved, etc. However, I do believe that China invading Taiwan would be more damaging, far and away, and I could absolutely foresee China making a move against Taiwan that coincides with Russia moving against Ukraine, coordinated or not.

Ukraine has never been fully committed to joining Nato.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ukraine–NATO_relations

Excerpt;
According to polls conducted between 2005 and 2013, Ukrainian public support of NATO membership remained low.[11][12][13][14][15][16][17] However, since Russian military intervention in Ukraine and Crimea, public support for Ukrainian membership in NATO has risen greatly. Since June 2014, polls showed that about 50% of those asked supported Ukrainian NATO membership.[18][19][20][21] Some 69% of Ukrainians want to join NATO, according to a June 2017 poll by the Democratic Initiatives Foundation, compared to 28% support in 2012 when Yanukovich was in power.[22]

I always love it when a poll leads with "Of Those Asked"

If you went to a BLM meeting and asked questions.
You'd get decidedly different answers than at a Trump rally.

Not unlike Trump's hair. There are other similarities as well.

it aint been because of the heart of the troop. its been between the media and the "diplomacy" of get rich politicians....... media been a propaganda machine forever. let the officers in the field lead instead of some tit-less wave polishing a chair in DC
Don't leave State Department and the UN out of the mix, Goblin... They're the really big causes of death without victory...
