No texas, Kentucky , New Brunswick.
Every SDR station does not have equipment operating in that band.
Some with dipoles. Others with verticals.
Some with multiples.
Ultimately this may have to be a relay service to get to the east coast.
I think 240 is right, that we may need relays to go coast to coast. I am in the middle of the country, and can help with that. Entropyfx is also in the middle of the country, and could help if/when he makes the leap. Back40 is central but south.
Also remember at this point we are using only the 40m band. When Bacash copied me direct, we were using 80m, which is -in general- a better nighttime band. As we grow in skills and expand equipment, our capabilities will grow as well.
It is possible we wouldn't need a relay if we were all able to use the 80m band. But nothing is certain!
