Interesting and a bit pricey... I've tried sleeping in hooped bivy's in my past life and never got use to it... Have a USGI bivy now that I even stopped using. I think I'd rather use a solid tarp and bug head net in my AO. The bugs just don't get that bad here to warrant full bug protectio...

I've got the DD hammocks Frontline xl. I'm not a ground sleeper anymore if at all possible. And definitely not sleeping on the ground in the swamp if avoidable. This has a built in bug net, but it doesn't have a water tight roof so you'll need a tarp. I run their matching 3x3.

I've also got the regular size version of this, and the xl is worth the weight penalty. I think it's 6oz heavier, stuff sack is slightly larger. Comfort is night and day. I can side sleep in it.

There are better, fancier hammocks than DD, but I've had them for years and they're very durable. Plus it's got a double bottom so your sleep pad slips in instead of you laying directly on it and sliding around. Spend the extra money on a good strap setup, I've got 2 20' straps that I tie off accordingly and use carabiners. Don't remember where I got them from. Just basic nylon straps. Dynemma slings would probably do a half pound. And don't be afraid to ditch what ever suspension you bought and go a different direction, nothing is married together unless you buy an all in one hammock that's got the built in ridge line. Those get pricey, but that's what I would look at if I ever upgrade.
