My guess would be he was being a brat... to put it nicely. Supposedly, he'd had a lot of "trouble" picking out an outfit for tonight and they had 4 lined up depending on what he decided he wanted to wear at the last minute. Supposedly, the jacket thing he was wearing was too hot... Maybe he didn't realize the game was going to be in Atlanta and it wouldn't be 5.3 feet deep in snow?

From a modern perspective it was boring.
No scoring. No spectacular plays. No halftime show. (There was but that was boring and sucked as well)
No controversy.
No officiating blunders.
Even the commercials were meh.
