So you just scrub em and then wipe mineral oil on them? And then leave them with no refrigeration? Wow...

We don't refrigerate or wash ours until use... And they keep a month. Six months is great!

Scrubbing them clean is done mainly to get the chicken poo off of them.
Nobody wants a bowl of chicken turds on their counter.

I’m a no scrubber leave em on the counter guy too, we always float them before use to check though.

Same here when I get fresh, I just put them in a basket & float test . When i have to buy store bought mineral oil & basket. I've heard that the usa and Canada are some of the only countries that refrigerate eggs, but not sure how reliable a source the neighbor is. I'm learning the locals are weird and 50 % chance of they are giving you a story or real information.

I just gave away 2 laying hens and the chicks to mu neighbors, he has game birds and is ready to change them out. We will let the chicks get bigger and slaughter all but two of his before moving them.
