Ok
I’m stumped with Fldigi.
I can’t get any version to load on my PC and run correctly.
I’ve installed different versions. Uninstalled. Deleted. Reloaded. Rebooted. Etc.
It downloads fine.
Seems to open but just flashes to the main screen and crashes 5 seconds later.
I had it loaded and it went right to the configure screen as it should last week.
Then my system got squirrelly (sorry Walter) and now see above.
I’m thinking of going to Windows10.
Not a computer guy so go easy.

I am not a computer guy either, so bear with me if these are stupid suggestions.
1) Maybe try deleting FLDigi from your computer and re-download it and re-install it.
2) What Operating System are you currently using?
3) Any chance you have a crappy old laptop laying around to make your dedicated "ham computer?"
Sorry that this is so much of a hassle for you. Usually, it goes as slick as in the video I posted.

Lotsa folks disliked the move to Windows 10, but the complaints died down faster than other upgrades...
10 might help with FLDigi, but will it fritz other things You use a Confuzer for? Is the Confounder You are using "Hers" as well? She might tie you outside if You scramble her fave software function...
