Season 5 is beginning in a few short weeks and unlike the books, the series isn't killing off Murtagh.

They're also adding a new furry character - who is a doppleganger for my late mio-mio. Meet Adso.

I periodically watch season 1 & 2 over again. When they were still wearing kilts.
Murtagh in particular is always worth ogling... eerrrrrr... watching.

I love me some Murtagh, but Jamie is my dreamboat. First ginger I've ever thought was HOTT!

Claire is Really Wonderful, but Brianna is just Fantastic!

Brianna becomes a strong major character in her own right, from here on out. Read where they MIGHT be combining some plot lines from 2 or more books, beginning this season. I know some former characters will also make a comeback into the central story; but that's from reading the whole series (for the 2nd time) 20 years ago. Claire & Jamie of course, have their oversized share of drama.

OH and the writers are winging the whole weaving of Murtagh in, because he is so popular - about this time in the books, he is killed fighting the British, IIRC.

This is an old song; featured in the episode about the battle of Culloden; think it was the end of season 2, when Claire is back in Scotland in her current timeline and visits the battlefield. This is a marching song in one of her "memories".

They keep Teasing "Men in Kilts" - from all the advance snippets, it looks like a total HOOT! The Whiskys are getting Good Reviews, as well. Might be meaningful to be warming our insides while watching reruns, new season, or the Men in Kilts, eh?

Probably Men in Kilts for me; just watched all of season 1 again. I can skip 2, 3 & 4 - altho I find the story pre-Revolution is where I re-engage again. Committees of Correspondence, Regulators, etc. And then the Revolutionary War storyline is pretty interesting.
