It's an old movie (2003) but I had never seen it before. I'm a fan of the lovely Monica Belluci so I decided to give it a watch.I was not disappointed - the cinematography is very good and the plot line, although not entirely new, was done well. It isn't a mood cheering movie by any analysis but it provided an interesting story I watched with interest. It is not for children.

Anyway, if you haven't seen it and have Netflix, I recommend.

I was thinking about Red Dawn too, Jay. Also -The Road. Turns out Hol's boss headed up special effects on that movie, even if he's not in the credits (a studio "thing"). I've heard some interesting behind-the-scenes stories about how they did what they did, and Cormac McCarthy.

You know...I've seen The Road one time. In a very quaint single screen theater in Charlotte WAY back when it came out and had not yet released wide. (Did it ever release Wide?)

Its just too bleak. It depressed the shit out of me. When it ended, it felt like a funeral as everyone silently shuffled out of the small theater.

I'm afraid to watch it again cuz it might reduce my desire to prepare. I mean...a bottle of booze and a bullet, and I'm set.
