Starting a thread if anyone wants to discuss episodes, theories, etc....

So far I am liking it a lot. Diverse Middle Earth isn't bothering me as much as it is some. It is a slow burn but that tells me they are in it for the long run as it is slated for 5 seasons so far.

Curious to see if they expand on how Isildur came to be King of Numenor.

the rings haven't been made yet so this takes place during the second age in the hobbit time line. I would guess about 2000 years before the lord of the rings trilogy. much of the story is in the Appendices at the end of The Return of the King, the last of the Lord of the Rings trilogy books.

The Silmarillion (which this series supposedly portrays) is what sets the stage for the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings. No; I haven't watched any of it yet.

Reminds me of House of the Dragon; a "prequel" playing on the fans of the original series. Hollywood looking for easy dollars. And not caring about the content.

:p
