War may be averted. Pakistan reopens air travel and India will hold elections next month as scheduled.

Pakistan returning the pilot seems to have calmed things down.

So it looks like India is going to say piss off! to Pakistan and take Kashmir . Both countries are nuke armed. Pakistan and Kashmir are west of India. Pakistan is being seriously courted by the Chinese and they have hundreds of military advisers in Pakistan. China hates India because India is a competitor for the wealth of Asia. China, of course, also has nukes and they are on the east side of India.

Things could escalate quickly to the point where we have to start a separate dedicated thread of its' own.
