Who will be our Bradley, Halsey, & Patton??

Will our military be led by combat proven leaders or political shills.

Patton,
https://sofrep.com/news/general-patton-have-taken-trier-do-you-want-me-to-give-it-back/

Excerpt;
Trier was an ancient city. It was where the Celtic Treveri tribe (where the city got its name from) had resided. Julius Caesar and his legions took the city after a revolt in 58-50 BC. Some of Rome’s best and most famous cavalry troops came from the region.

The Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force (SHEAF), Eisenhower’s HQs, radioed Patton’s army to halt outside of Trier because it “would take four divisions” to seize the city. Unbeknownst to SHEAF, Trier was already in American hands, as the 10th Armored Division had pushed through with the infantry.

Patton then sent his now-famous message,
“Have taken Trier with two divisions… what do you want me to do, give it back?”

Bull Halsey,
When this war is over, the Japanese language will be spoken only in hell!

Omar Bradley,
Amateurs study tactics; professionals study logistics.

If you will help run our government in the American way, then there will never be any danger of our government running America in the wrong way.

Do we have such men or women waiting in the wings to step up?

Marcinko passing earlier this week got me to pondering this.

Will we produce leaders who know how to fight?
One who will take chances and win, or follow political direction for more stars.

The answer I came up with frightens me somewhat.

If we attack and defend with snowflakes and unicorns,
I fear we shall be learning a new language

LV, out in flyover country... invisible in the masses of "unimportant people"... or deplorables... are a lot of humans with the needed skills, courage, and wisdom to BECOME just such a leader. In a new system.

The old systems that are collapsing; the institutions that have been corrupted are passé. There will be a time of chaos before a new system is organized (or built by logistical need; organically). Grab yer stainless steel small clothes and put on your best boots. It's going to a back-breaking slog to "get there".
