That was while three different movies were streaming in various parts of the house, while my wife was goofing off playing some online game, through a VPN and firewall. And in the sticks. I couldn't even dream of that at my old house 🤣

Well, I may as well post this news in this thread:

Yesterday afternoon I was streaming some music and it quit. No problem. Occasionally the router hiccups, takes 10 seconds, comes right back.

But it didn’t. 15 seconds turned into an hour, turned into 10 hours. I emailed the company and went to bed. This morning, I got a reply. In short ATT capriciously and arbitrarily cancelled that plan. No warning. No apology. Just threw the switch with a big electronic FU.

Bix (the ATT reseller) offered a 300gb plan (down from my unlimited plan). Gotta mail me a sim card though.

Now I have to figure out if I invest in a Starlink system, is the fiber anywhere close to reality, another cellular/hotspot based plan, will 300gb cover us, etc.

Again, one of the downsides of living in the country, I guess.

Yep.
Internet here from cable company. Kept dropping out. So.... new modem. New router. Any better? Lil bit.
Cell signal sucks so hot spot don't help.
Don't know what's gonna happen when the kid's remote job starts and she's sucking up bandwidth all day

I went to T-Mobile home 5-G flat $60 a month with autopay, $65 without.

Been very happy since I told Century Link where to shove their 4Mbps.
