Being on vacation, and your tour company goes bankrupt? Cancelling your flights... leaving you stranded where ever in the world you went? Apparently, this company was carrying (or trying to) over a billion pounds of debt. And when their Chinese shareholder declined to tide them over... that was all she wrote.

Along with the advice to "avoid crowds", I think I'm inclined to suggest that one shouldn't be downwind when TSHTF of a business/financial entity you're depending on. And that goes for the folk who make up the so-called "luxury markets" as well. I predicted this current environment would affect everyone at all levels, but I'm kinda revising that now. The less you have to do with the "system" the better off you'll be.

Yep, been staying pretty close to home for last few Years. Health. It is unhealthy to rub shoulders with the growing percentage of illegals who are bringing in various and sundry disease vectors.

A fuel shortage will bring same sort of disaster to all who commute long distances, and those vacationing in home (or nearby) States. Ya can't predict these things very well. Don't get caught out!

Happened before. Will happen again.
Didn’t some airline go out of business a while back leaving passengers stranded mid route?
Seen coworkers get stranded in Mexico because of hurricane 10-15 years ago. For two weeks!!!

This is kind of off track but along the same vein. After my last flight to Kansas City to see my doctor, I got what I'm going to call deathly ill. It was the sickest I've ever been in my life and I've separated to ribs coughing. I'm probably going to drive from now on. People are fucking nasty. It's unfathomable the level of dirty that people take their children out in public with. Disgusting.

Things are falling apart, is what I see. TSA was enough to convince me to stop flying and that was...... long enough ago I've forgotten the year. I didn't even carry then; it was metal trim on a wallet that got me pulled. I tried to be patient, but the smart-ass is imprinted in my DNA.

Anything having to do with big corps/banks, IMO - is now more vulnerable to things no one has enough time to research thoroughly enough. Buy local; support your local resources; bank where the tellers know you on a first name basis on sight.

The non-halal parts of Sweden for Me!

Yep, I found that on Voyages of more than 120 Days, folks started showing signs of SERIOUS Mental Disturbances! I tried to pick My time at Sea to have a chance to get off between 90 and 120 Days.

Lawrence Singleton was a Shipmate on one of those Voyages...

There were MANY others who were noticeably Much Worse Human Beings than Sweet Larry!!!!!!!!

I fully expect that such mental deterioration will occur to most folks when the S sullies the blades of the F!

think its the british gvt is funding repatriation LOLOLOLOL ya take a vacation, to some exotic place, shit goes sideways, and the GVT steps in to "save" them. no flipping wonder theres no responsibility for ones own actions anymore. no one has to think anymore on how to pull their own but out of a fire, they wait to get saved. LOLOL thats rich........
the second i found out, i would have #1 checked out of the luxury hotel is was in, and found a cheap room,#2 quit eating at the 5 star restaurants and eat local,#3 quit lounging around with locals waiting on my every need, and found a way to make quick cash,(they is always a way depending on your skillset) #4 found me a cheap flight out of there, or if it works out just stay and enjoy a permanent vacation. know a couple of South African guys that did that here.......if the place your vacationing is better than the place you live..........
