Grow Lights?

Anyone using these? recommendations? These look like they'll do nicely in a space I have downstairs until such time as I get a hoop house or high tunnel up.

ive got a homemade one similar to this for seedlings..............works great got the same lights they runnin.............

Yeah, I'm going bigger scale on seedlings. Probably biting off more than I can chew again - but I GOTTA get this garden situated; started; amended; de-rocked (OMG - anyone need rock?) and get that garage "pantry" sorted out/organized and get better shelving for jars.

Sac, if you are going to be planting outside as small seedlings those will work.

Flourescent has more blue light, good for seedlings but will make spindly transplants if they need to stay in the trays longer.

Green light makes stockier stems for stronger transplants and you need more green light for that.

Think LEDs for that light.

You only need red if you're going to try to fruit under light so I wouldn't bother with those.

You'll need heat mats too.

They'll go about 6 ft from my woodstove against a wall of big windows. And not sit on the floor. Yeah, I hate flourescents, period. So was going with LED bulbs.
