I’ll have 8- 50’ rows, each row is 3’ wide with 2’ walking path. My garden is on a slope with the high side being south, so all rows run E to W.
Row one is 2 rows of sweet peppers with trellis running down center to hold cucumbers and zucchini. I’ll add herbs and marigolds, Nasturtium to help fight insects.
Next two rows are tomatoes both paste and sammich. I’ll put carrots and beets in between with herbs and flowers.
Next row is beans, I’ll set up trellis as I like the vine beans over bush, less bending to pick.
I have melons, pumpkins started, adding cabbage, corn, okra, and a hot pepper garden separate.
My purple collard trees rooted well over the winter so I’ll be making more starts and spreading those around.
The garlic bed #2 (California late) is doing great, bed #1 (California early) hasn’t done a thing.
The raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, Logan berries, and pine berries are all sprouting leaves.
Muscadines are budding fine, the peach, pear, apple, cherry, and plum trees are budding out good now also.
I’m behind on my fruit tree guilds so have to step it up on those.
The rabbits were bred late due to life, one had a litter of 5 and the other one nothing, so Benjamin Cadbury will be getting some this week.
The ducks are growing fast and ready to be moved into their own enclosure, the 4 chicks see growing but look small mixed in the ducks!
