Well, I'm caught up now. The most recent episode had some cool elements (and surprises) but some of our intrepid heroes have zero survival instinct.

OK, so I just watched the most recent episode, and I now have a better (or at least fresher) grasp on a recurring theme in TWD/FTWD that drives me crazy: disposable plot devices and dead-end storylines. In this case, it's the whole airplane thing. In the first/second season, it was the boat.

SPOILER ALERT

...

....

.....

You idiots have now managed to not only crash one plane, but now destroy a second one after dedicating at least two episodes to acquiring it?! Not without ruining your own defenses in the process, no less!!! And if what we've seen so far is to be the extent of Daniel's involvement, then it amounted to a whole lot o' nothing, as he's one of the more compelling characters in the series over the years.

I'll keep watching, of course, because I still want to see where they're headed.

I wholeheartedly agree, INZ. We've also seen the connection to Rick with the helicopter now. Someone else pondered if Daniel got the cigar from Abe. Remember there's a tape with the name "Abe" on it in the annoying lady's box of tapes.

So...uh...this episode...didn’t really advance the plot line
I know that the TWD/FTWD creative teams have done the character-centric episodes before, some better than others, but this felt like a strong dose of "fan service" with the whole GET TO THE CHOPPAH business, plus a romantic bonfire to set the mood. Yup.

I can’t stand Al, she annoys me to no end. Emo lesbians are boring, lol.

I was even annoyed by the Walking Dead episode that was all about Rick and Michonne’s relationship. Vomit, just kill some zombies already!

Just got around to watching last Sunday's episode, with foolish optimism that I'll watch tonight's in real time. Ha!

I know it's too early in the season to definitively know that a character or plot point is already gone for good, but it seems like this season is all about introducing elements and then removing them.

Agree @Inazone

It’s back tonight. I’m really annoyed by Dwight’s wife storyline. I don’t understand the whole leading him around unless it was enter her leaving the notes? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Doesn’t make sense. And I totally think it was Alecia on the radio in TWD episode - king Ezekiel is talking to Judith. They get off the radio and you hear a female voice saying is anybody there? Totally Alecia.
