I've had it on a CAI G3 with no issues. I talked to Burris a few weeks ago and they'll still honor the lifetime warranty. I still have the manual but it says 12 month warranty. I think you'd be happy with it. 4 MOA version. Burris Rep. told me it was meant to withstand 50 cal.

One issue I have with red dots, check weld/eye position must be consistent.

Most. They're rather simple devices. And complications cost money. I did mount one of these on an SKS rear sight blade one time, and it gives me good service on that old carbine. Being able to use the rear sight slide to adjust elevation has been a real trip. We like to bust rocks across the creek, and shots can go several hundred yards.
