Distance

I’m just over half a mile/1000 meters away from the nearest paved road.
Around a quarter mile/500 meters away from my closest neighbor.
And 15 miles/30 kilometers from the nearest town.

For me I’d like more distance from neighbors but that will come in time as people get old and sell off their land. I find the distance to a paved road and to town perfect for my location it strikes a nice balance between having civilization close by but not close enough to be a bother and is one of the reasons I was happy with the property I got.

I wish I could live that remotely, but age and health require Wife and I to be near Medical facilities.

I spent a number of Years at Sea, and cherish the memories of being away from Cities and People. Always wished on a more remote life, but never took the leap.

Your source of Elecrical power is entirely Photovoltaic, or combination?

You certainly make me a nothing, here on Off The Grid Forum!!!

the terrain we live is an former militairy base wich is closed , all buildins are dropped down, but the terrain is closed for public its owned by the govverment and we have control over it for them. sometimes 1 or 2 months a year they use it for survival training in tents but no more for jeeps tanks shooting and others
