I watched some of the debate about it last night. I walked in the room as some senator was bitching because the bill didn’t do enough for federal employees in the DC area. I was so mad....fuck those assclowns. If my wife wasn’t possibly gonna be furloughed next week I probably would have shot the TV.

WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SENILE OLD BASTARD SMILING ABOUT?
It's like watching a football game in the final few minutes of a blowout, when the inevitable losers manage to score a "garbage" touchdown playing against second- and third-string defenders, and some doofus is doing his end zone celebration dance. You know he's getting paid a little extra for padding his stats, but everyone knows he couldn't deliver the goods when it would have made a difference.

At yesterday's presser, one of the reporters asked about the extra things that were in the bill. His answer was this one was much leaner than the one the House had first sent to the Senate, that there were some unrelated items but much less than there were and some things, such as 30million for the Kennedy Center, were part of negotiations. You knew going into a negotiation that you were going to have to give some, you just made sure you weren't giving too much. Using his Kennedy Center example, he said the Kennedy Center needed funds because it was closed down for the virus and getting in dangerous financial territory. He said giving in on some of those things that were one time allocations, unlike the new green deal items that would be a drain forever on the country, was necessary to meet their goal, which was to get money into the hands of American people and small businesses.

I'm not saying I agree with a number of the items I've seen so far in the bill, but anyone who has been married knows, you don't draw a ten foot deep line in the sand and refuse to negotiate unless you've decided it's not worth it to negotiate an agreement.

I would like to congratulate congress for their 25 million bonus. They work very hard and some weeks they even work 4 days. It's a tough job that only gives about 20 weeks vacation. They also have to listen to corporate announcements before the rest of us do, so for all their hard work, it is only right for them to trade based off of it and make millions and put common people like Martha Stuart and the rest of us, in jail. Thank you Congress. Why not give yourself another 25 million

Well DUUUUH.

Isn't that why everything was outsourced/offshored in the first place? To increase those margins, making the stock price go up for the shareholders?

C'mon... I know I'm old, but I truly wasn't born yesterday.
