I know a lot of y'all know this guy. But this was a good vid on the process of building and this cabin even has a loft. I have enough property to put 3-4 of these up in places where people wouldn't even see each other unless they wanted to.

With that land we’re getting id love one of those portable sawmills for building something like that.

Where I grew up, you didn't need a permit for anything at or under 144 square feet.
So there were many variations of 12x12 cabins.

Some of my favorites were ones where the roof extended out & down to about four feet off the ground.
Dry storage for firewood. Ability to cook out in the pouring rain, Makeshift tool shed.

Some had steep roofs and a loft.

I’ve been skimming videos this weekend now that we’ve got our spot picked out, looking for ideas, etc. One thing I’ll say for BushRadical, he’s a realist. Folks are using $30,000 tractors to build cabins and such. I don’t have that kinda gravy. Dave Whipple goes in the woods with old hand/power tools and gets it done.
