Where I grew up, you didn't need a permit for anything at or under 144 square feet.
So there were many variations of 12x12 cabins.

Some of my favorites were ones where the roof extended out & down to about four feet off the ground.
Dry storage for firewood. Ability to cook out in the pouring rain, Makeshift tool shed.

Some had steep roofs and a loft.

I’ve been skimming videos this weekend now that we’ve got our spot picked out, looking for ideas, etc. One thing I’ll say for BushRadical, he’s a realist. Folks are using $30,000 tractors to build cabins and such. I don’t have that kinda gravy. Dave Whipple goes in the woods with old hand/power tools and gets it done.
