If you're carrying the dogs gear, who carries your gear?

Just being realistic here. If this is a dedicated "bug out" or inch setup, I think you should practice a half mile ruck into the "bush" and stay 36 hours. Light rain would be even better. Two overnights, moving camp each day. Even if it's just 100' Stay close enough to the car so you can call it and tap out. You could probably do this on a friend's 20ish acre spread if that's available. Stay in cell coverage area.

Absolutely not being a dick, I just see a wasteful trainwreck coming. Use your gear now, you'll know what you'll need "after". Use your dog as a resource on the trail, not a companion. Plus, meat on the hoof never spoils.

I understand. For this, I am thinking every day use and emergency pack in the car. Should have specified, so I guess not technically a Pet BOB for on foot.

Don't pee in my cheerios! LOL I'm REALLY excited about these bags.

Hit the link you provided and it took me the Chewy.com and they have them for $49.99 (marked down from $99.99). Have to check out Costco (tag along when one of the kids go). $29.99 is a great deal. Looking into traveling with the beasts and this would definitely be a help.

Bronz, years ago, I just used a regular bucket style backpack for "dog stuff" when we were vacationing at the beach. Leads, tie outs & cables, dishes, toys, treats, shampoo, etc. It had 2 zippered round compartments at the bottom, and then a mesh drawstring top with a flap over the top. I guess it was more a rucksack style.

But for serious bugout purposes, and the amount of food you'd need to bring along - I'm thinking a tote (waterproof style) would make more sense.

If your Costco doesn't have them, then let me know. I will pick them up for you here and you can reimburse me.

Yes. I've also been thinking about getting one of those wagons that was posted a while ago. I saved the link. Tripod would not be able to walk far distances. He already has a giant dog stroller than can hold up to 150 lbs. He could ride with two bags inside. I carry another pack and little dog can get a little doggie fanny pack for smaller things. That would be in extreme-I'm-walking-long-distances scenario.
