Interestingly enough it seems that the original sources for the draft notices are all blocked or 404ed.

But there is still tons of talk and information indicating China is drafting 36-45 year old males in addition to 18-35 year old males that were already being drafted for “flood defense.“

In an interesting twist that I can’t verify. It’s looking like the CCP is i guess abducting would be the correct word thousands Tibetan military aged males sending them to military style camps where they are being forced to learn how to work in factories and then being sent to work in factories all over China. Like I said I can’t verify any of the information but it’s popping up a lot so I figured it was worth mentioning.

I know early on in the year Uyghurs were being abducted in the same way and forced to work in essential factories that had COVID-19 outbreaks.
It is typical that the CCP have websites critical of them deleted, whether it is the article or the whole website.

They were abducting Tibetans before the virus even broke out.

The CCP for the last couple of years, has been full bore on dismantling any "competition" to the CCP which is supposed to be worshipped like a religion. In Tibet and all over China, Buddhist monuments and churches (?or whatever they are called), have been being destroyed. The people have been being split up, with the younger adults, mainly males, taken for "retraining." Tibet was part of China but not treated as part of China, because the eyes of the world were on Tibet when China took it over. As Tibet faded from view, China has become more aggressive in assimilating it as part of China.

House Christians are being done the same way except they are pretty much just being disappeared, not "retrained." The few Christian churches in China are being required to replace any Religious symbols in the church with framed pictures of Xi Jinping. If they don't comply, the churches are being burned to the ground. House Christians are meeting in small groups in homes. When the CCP finds out about the groups, some of the homes have been burned down.

We've talked before about the Uyghers.

People in Hong Kong who were promoting freedom are being taken to China to be "tried." In China if you are accused of a crime, you have to receive permission to have an attorney represent you other than the one assigned by the CCP to represent you to the CCP. Those attorneys have sworn loyalty to the CCP.

Reporters within Hong Kong who have been reporting what is really going on there are being taken to China and jailed. A number of the Epoch Times reporters and publishing house in Hong Kong have been jailed.

China is on the offense by being on the defense. They are circling the wagons to protect the CCP.

China has always had a weird dichotomy going. Enough people to be truly frightening, but enough people to be impossible to put them in play against us.

Lift is our bailiwick. Always has been. You want to move large numbers of troops across the globe, the US is king.

I may be a dick, but what China does elsewhere doesn't bother me in the slightest. If they get embroiled in a war with India, that is less time and resources they can put into espionage and IP theft against us. That is less support for our homegrown extremists. The last thing China would do while under threat from all of the folks in the quoted post is to start lobbing missiles our way.

So, the only way we get involved is if they go after Taiwan. That won't go well for them, which is why they have spent decades crying about Taiwan but doing nothing.

Again, I may be a dick, but anything that comes to fruition off that list has my blessing. Flooding/famine/internal conflict from Muslims, Mongolians, or Tibetans/war with India...all of that is fine by me. The war with India is really the only thing that might get ugly to tye point of effecting us - Pakistan would probably jump in with China to finally tale it to India like they have wanted forever. Three nuclear powers going at it might get sporty.

If CCP thinks they're about to lose their control, they'll attempt to take out any power that could threaten 'em while they rebuild. That could well include nuke or EMP strikes with no diplomatic foreplay across all of Europe, India, Australia and North America/Canada. Makes 'em a damnably dangerous foe when they're in trouble. The old 'wounded grizzly' model...

Anyone who looks at the largest populated country in the world, one who has nuclear weapons at their disposal, and a history of attacking to cover their own problems and says "as long as they don't come to my front door, I don't care what they do" is engaging in a serious case of denial and is inviting them to your front door.

Rather like whistling in the graveyard to scare all the haints away.

I'll play devil's advocate here.

China has nothing to gain by nuking anyone, even if the CCP is struggling to maintain power.

Throwing nukes around guarantees retaliation, which will hit the very infrastructure the CCP needs to keep power. They can't monitor their population if their tech centers are glowing. Nor can they feed their people if their major transport routes are gone, along with food processing and everything else.

They can tighten down on their own people to hold power, but getting nuked is the worst possible way to keep power. Especially by the US, because we can nuke every city they have with a population greater than 100 and they know it.

Military action may come from China, but it will definitely not involve nukes or anything that another nation could use to justify nukes.

This. Communism aside, the Chinese aren't stupid.

You make a valid point. I would offer as a counter that CCP defense plans made public as a deterrent have long been if we think we’ll go down hide in our massive under ground military bases (the underground Great Wall of China) and nuke all the other world powers so everyone is ruined and no other nation can take advantage of our situation.

An extreme form of MAD military defense strategy. Would they really do it? Who knows, but it isn’t something I’d discount either. Personally I suspect they’ll have enough conventional warfare and economics issues that it will be a non-option entirely. Besides nukes while effective aren’t a knockout punch, and as you and disturbed have surmised I think the juice wouldn’t be worth the squeeze with what would happen to China afterwards.

Thread Veer Warning!

They both taught the FAA "Ground School" course as an "After School Enrichment" program. I took the course, but was unable to get My Pilot's License, as I was really busy Working in the Harbor as a Longshoreman, also working as a Soda Jerk (sweat equity partner) in a Carousel Ice Cream Shop, going to School, and Playing Football. Further, the cost of Flight Training at the time was circa $600.00.

I waited till I was in My late 30s before I became a Pilot and Aircraft Owner.
