I secured my double stand and moved another single today. I still have to hike my climber back and “up” the hill though. I will chain it to the tree at the top.
I found several beaten down paths that go into a wash (cut, ravine, valley, holler whatever you call them in your neck of the woods) it’s about 15’ deep and is dry unless it’s raining. The deer use those as freeways around here.
You can’t set up close to the rim because they can spot you from pretty far off.
I found 2 trails coming up my side and 1 across the other side that leads to several worn trails.
I imagine on the night of 9-14-22 they will abandon all these trails. Lol

Take it hunting season opens on the 15th?

The deer here can read. Day before hunting season they all go out to the roads and read all the signs on the fences looking for the ones that say "No Hunting Allowed" and they tiptoe over there with their little backpacks full of snacks and their I-Pads and spend the winter. The "No Hunting Allowed" places are where there are unspent munitions from assorted military practices over the decades, but that isn't on the sign or the deer would take their helmets too.

Good luck with hunting this year!! :)

I put in 4 food plots that are doing really well. The deer are killing the Brassica !!! Its the 1st year I put it in. I didn't think they were supposed to eat it until after a frost. There won't be any tubers growing if they keep munching down the tops at the rate they are.
