I dunno...Seems like $1000 would buy another complete setup, spares, as well as a pile of “spendy filters,” good for a few hundred gallons depending on initial water quality. Power requirements would be less for a 12vdc pump for the same volume of water as well, I bet. Plus, I don’t need the...
Had a bit to work on this today. I pulled the end off the impeller housing, and noticed the vanes of the impeller were pretty stiff. Well, one was stiff, the rest were immobile.
As I was pulling the impeller off the shaft, I heard a “tink!” Oh, crap....the Woodruff key. Right down the inlet...
This is thread necromancy, but I am now having problem with this pump setup.
The pump runs, and the fuel level in the transparent filter housing goes up and down a bit, but it won’t pump fuel. Being the complete imbecile that I am, I applied vacuum to the end of the hose, which (conjecture...
Never had a critter go under mine, unless I got lazy and didn't move it when I noticed there was some digging going on. Same with not maintaining staples/chicken wire that gets rusty and weak. Something will test it and find a weak stopt if I'm not looking for it and fixing it first.
I'd love one, but I am not holding my breath: Toyota (and other companies) make inexpensive, basic trucks that don't get imported to the US due to emission standards, crash standards, mileage standards, etc.
What brand?
Big learning curve?
Would you buy the same one again?
Does it do what you bought it to do?
Thought about personalizing a 80% paperweight before I assist my lovely daughter in making it into her own rifle, and then with other miscellaneous shop projects.
Dunno...Maybe the same reason I love biscuits and gravy!
Good idea, but it depends on how much it costs to "get" an old propane tank. As to the cement mixer, I have two mental strikes against it: Cost (especially considering how much I'd actually use it) and where to store it. Part of the fun...
Worked a little bit with my “grande” size homemade tumbler. Originally built to remove rust and dirt from steel staples that hold weed barrier down in the garden, now pressed into service cleaning buckets of brass. Built from a $28 eBay 1/3hp gearmotor (delivered!) and a Harbor Freight bucket...
I second HandLoad. It seems as though the “brain“ is seeing the generator voltage, not the battery voltage. May be a setting, but I don’t know for sure.
Here’s a link to the FDA press release about this. Press release
I do note there is no timeline other than a warning letter to :
American Aquarium Products
Aquanest Biotic
Aquarium Pharmacy LLC
California Veterinary Supply
Chewy Inc.
Kraft Drug
Midland Veterinary Services LLC
Silver Lease LLC...
I decided to give them a try last week. They have a part in the checkout process where you can list your prescriptions and medical history. You can just skip it. One item of note: Unless you have Bitcoin, pretty much your only option to pay is with an E-check. That is, you type in the routing...
Looks as though it's the real deal this time. FDA is leaning on CalVet, Kraft Drug, Thomas Labs, etc. to stop selling without a prescription.
As much as I am against irresponsible use of antibiotics, as a preparedness-minded person, I think folks should have a supply at home. Whatever your...
Good tip. Provided I am not actively/regularly exposing the seal to gasoline, any benefit to keeping it greased? I understand the gasoline will wash the grease off, but until then, would it prevent the rubber from drying out?
I now use an electric pump for my fuel storage, but I still keep an old Harbor Freight manual fuel pump as a spare. I pulled it out to use the other day, and noted the seal around the hand crank has gone bad, and it was leaking fuel like crazy when I was trying to fill a 2 gallon can.
Here’s...
