    First Episode of Survivorman

Imagine the concept of a news channel that provides useful information instead indoctrination. Ahhhh, distant memories.

Apparently he thinks he's a supreme ruler. I hope he meets the same fate as most heavy handed dictators.

    Additive nature of technology

At 19 months, she's already had her share of falls and such because we let her learn for herself. Obviously, we're not going to let her do something that could cause her real harm, but if she thinks she can climb something, we let her. More times than not, she surprises the crap out of us and...

    Additive nature of technology

My wife and I already decided that we will never answer a question that we don't know the answer to with some flippant answer like "because I said so" or tell our kids they are unable to do something. I'd much rather say "I don't know" and teach them how to learn. And if they are unable to do a...

I've tried kangaroo... Unclean would be an understatement. I'd rather eat the north end of a south bound skunk.

Where Can I Safely Store Popular Fuels for Emergencies?

Nope. Called them, guy said he swears he's seen them at other stores but can't find them with any of their internal search engines. Fuck it, its just to burn in a torpedo heater in the shop anyway, little acid won't hurt anything :ROFLMAO:

Where Can I Safely Store Popular Fuels for Emergencies?

If I could find one new local, I'd buy in a minute. I really don't want to order one from Uline or Grainger or similar.

Where Can I Safely Store Popular Fuels for Emergencies?

After 15 years, wouldn't it have lost all potency from off gassing?

Where Can I Safely Store Popular Fuels for Emergencies?

Question about diesel fuel storage. I have a 30 gal barrel that contains muriatic acid, just a little bit left in it. The barrel and contents are at least 15 years old. Can it be used to store diesel if its washed out?

What did you do to prep today??

Washed and bleached the two 275 gallon IBC totes to get rid of the remaining grape juice. Also bagged 80lbs of various beans and lentils, as well as 100lb of wheat. Bought the 1 gallon Mylar and O2 back in May and the bags with designs were all that was available.

What did you do to prep today??

They make stove cement to seal all of the cracks with. Fiberglass rope can be had from amazon to make your own gaskets.

Making bread with Country Living mill

What makes you think that's not MY feet and MY pretty slippers? :ROFLMAO: I'll have to double check with her, but I want to say they are Muk Luk brand slippers. They haven't been great for durability, probably replacing them for Christmas for her. If you need new slippers, LL Bean is where...

Making bread with Country Living mill

So, I have to admit, I always use a bread machine to make our bread. This time we decided not to, and decided to use our Dutch oven. I’m not sure if I did something wrong, or if the yeast is just no good anymore, but it didn’t really rise when baked. Still delicious though!! Maybe @Mel's...

Making bread with Country Living mill

My Country Living Grain Mill was delivered Friday. Got the Country Living mill all put together and bolted to a 2x10. They make a counter clamp for it, but I thought the 2x10 would give me a bit more versatility. It came with a small bag of flour and a note that said that was test run through...
