On that topic -
Most feed that I have for chickens, cows, and dogs will keep a significant amount of time as long as it doesn't get wet and has some decent airflow. Don't put feeds into an airtight container like a 55 gallon drum with a lid or a plastic tote. It will spoil rapidly due to mold.
Best thing to do is to put the bags of feed in an open top 55 gallon drum and don't put the lid on. It'll keep rodents out, keep the feed nicely contained, and there's enough airflow.
Alternatively, you could construct some type of wooden structure that would do the same thing.
The bags do a good job against insects, but obviously you've gotta have something for rodents.
Just a few tips... I routinely buy a trailer load of feed and that's how I keep it fresh and good for months at a time!
